Shavings Cibachrome (Puppet) 1985The empty oblong holes shaved out of the orange and white rectangles, give the shapes a sense of depth and character. Also of note, the perfectly aligned blue spaces produce a minor optical illusion. At first glance it looks as though theyre just ordinary ovals, but after a prolonged viewing, the shapes become the inside of the rectangles. The flat colors here serve the perfectly symmetrical subjects and Pantaleonis skill wonderfully. 19. 5 in * 27. 5
