SPLITS Size:24 x 30 Inches Only then does the meticulouslyPart of a new series called, Talk Paintings. "The mouth is the central source of linguistic communication and is also associated with romantic conveyance. Our mouths are used to kiss and to speak. I painted these images by layering images of different phrases being articulated. I used diverse paint handling strategies in each layer to create a sense of the disconnect between what is spoken and what is visually articulated by the mouth as we speak.
